Cade Batchelor
Before founding BC Group in 2022, Cade began his career working under a general contractor in Charlotte, NC. With 10+ years of construction experience as a project manager and having worked among several local and national general contractors, he has been involved in over $1.1 billion worth of construction projects throughout The Carolina's. This includes the ground up construction of 1000+ units in the multifamily sector encompassing apartments, senior living and condos, a 43 story high rise tower, medical facilities, restaurants, shell buildings, education facilities, retail upfits and more.
Most recently as a project manager while at Edifice Construction, Cade focused on project management for design-build projects. While there he honed his ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, overseeing planning, budgeting, and execution. He developed a strong understanding of the importance of working closely with local authorities to successfully shepherd projects through entitlements and permitting, while also delivering complex and atypical projects.
Cade brings experience across a diverse project portfolio that includes senior living, high-rise, hospitality, athletics, healthcare, multifamily, municipal, educational and commercial market sectors throughout the Carolinas. He enjoys developing “outside-the-box” solutions rooted in his broad industry experience and thrives in navigating the nuances of different jurisdictions to consistently deliver high-quality results, regardless of location.
BC Group was founded when Cade realized the differences in permitting requirements, review boards, construction regulations, and operations at the state, county and city levels vary greatly. There is no one size fits all to getting a project approved, permitted, built on time and completed within budget. Having worked with a multitude of city planners, plan reviewers, fire marshals, DOT officials, utility companies, building departments, and design professionals, he saw the opportunity to start a company that could provide that missing link in projects to ensure the proper parties were involved streamlining these processes.
J. Sterling Chillico, Esq.
J. Sterling Chillico, is a seasoned attorney, bringing over 13 years of trial experience to Batchelor Consulting Group. Throughout her distinguished legal career, she has defended clients in a broad spectrum of criminal matters—from driving offenses to serious felony charges. Sterling is known for her sharp litigation skills, strong work ethic, and her unwavering commitment to client advocacy.
In addition to her criminal defense work, Sterling has significant experience in immigration law. She has assisted clients with matters ranging from removal defense to visa applications, permanent residency, and citizenship. Her immigration practice reflects a deep understanding of the complex legal and personal challenges faced by individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.
Today, Sterling leverages her legal expertise to serve clients in the construction and business sectors. As a legal consultant with Batchelor Consulting Group, she provides support in all aspects of legal operations, including contract drafting and review, regulatory compliance, and guidance on matters involving international employees. Her ability to analyze risk, navigate complex regulations, and offer practical legal solutions makes her an invaluable asset to the firm's diverse clientele.
Sterling earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in both South Carolina and California.
